TO MEASURE THE... Inseam: This is the measurement taken on the side of the leg, to about 1 inch off the ground. Usually this length is about one (1) inch shorter than the length when purchasing jeans. Outseam: This is the measurement taken on the outside of the leg. From the waist line, down the outside of the leg, to about one (1) inch off of the ground. Neck: This is taken around the neck. For an adult male, the measurement usually ranges from 14 (very thin) to 22 (very large).
Sleeve: This is the measurement to determine shirt sleeve length. Place the tape measure just below the back of the neck, run it straight out along the shoulder, down over the outside of the shoulder, down along the outside of the arm, to the wrist. This measurement will range from 32 (short) to 39 (very tall). Insleeve: This is the measurement to determine the sleeve length of the jacket. Place the tape at the inside area of the armpit, and run the tape straight down to the wrist. For a normal man, it will range between 15 (shorter man) to 19 (taller man). Under-Arm Chest: Run the tape around the upper chest body, all the way around the back. Make sure you go underneath the arms. Over-Arm Chest: Run the tape around the upper chest body, all the way around the back. Make sure you go on the outside of the arms.
